The ASEAS(UK) Biennial Conference takes place over three days in September every other year. It features a range of research presentations and roundtables on current events, as well as career development sessions.

ASEAS(UK) Conference 2018

The ASEAS(UK) 2018 Conference, ‘Southeast Asia Meets Global Challenges’, took place at the University of Leeds from 5th to 7th September and was attended by 135 delegates from universities across Europe and Southeast Asia. The themes of the conference were:

  • Politics and Good Governance
  • Sustainable and Equitable Development
  • Cultural Heritage and Cultural Production
